Meet the Cast

I’m looking forward to being re-united with all my pals in this year’s production of Aladdin. I’ve worked with some of them for so long that they feel like part of my family. That family was increased by two last year when Steven Purdon and Ryan Fletcher joined the cast of Jack and the Beanstalk. They both did a brilliant job. I haven’t worked with Tony Roper since I played Brother Walfrid in The Celtic Story but I can’t wait to see him in a frock. It will be good to see my old High Road buddies Jackie Farrell and Catriona Evans again and the beautiful Simone Lucas is guaranteed to lift the spirits on even the dullest of winter days. If I play Abanazar much more often I’ll be entitled to an honorary lifetime membership of the Magic Circle.

Hello!!! and how excited am I to be playing Aladdin this year in the
Pavilion Panto.
At the moment I'm in River City playing the part of Vader and really enjoying my character as the Bad-Boy turned good. I haven't been on a stage since last year and can't wait I especially look forward to performing after going down to see the kids audition for the parts of wishee-washee's gang. The standard I saw was amazing. After last years involvement in Jack and the Beanstalk I was thrilled when asked back for another go.

So hold on to yer .......... er.................flying carpet?
oh and come see the show it's goona be a cracker!

Hi Everyone,
At the moment I am getting ready for the launch of THE STEAMIE novel in soft back. It was my third novel in as many years. However this year I have taken time off to don the funny frocks and outrageous makeup of the Widow Twanky in Aladdin. It will be a nice change to work with performers and have an audience to play to rather than sitting in a lonely room with a word processor wondering what I am going to say next. As a warm up to that I have agreed to be in a duo of plays at the Oran Mhor lunchtime series A play a Pie and a Pint venue.

Hiya Everybody
Well what can I say, what a year I have had, missing out on the Panto last year after been struck down with a critical illness that almost finished me off and had me in hospital for three months with another five months trying desperately to get back on my feet, mind you as the saying goes every cloud has a silver lining and I am now 4 stone lighter, looking like the super model I always knew I would be one day.

Eventually I was well enough to return to work at the Pavilion appearing in the brilliant Bender in Benidorm, only to be run off the road on my way to work one night, so with a write-off for a car, one broken nose, one fractured wrist and severe whip-lash later I have finally decided I am NIGHTMARE.

Anyway I am glad to say I am now fully recovered and dying (no pun intended), to be working back at the Pavilion with all my lovely pals both on stage and off and the brilliant fun that we are all going to have with my buddy Tony Roper, who I had the privilege of working with for three years in Rab C. Nesbitt and the gorgeous boys from my favourite show River City.

Better go now or I’ will be here all day, Can’t wait to enjoy all your laughter over the Xmas period, most of all the joy and laughter of my beautiful little angel Jude, who will be two years old in November.

Thank you so much for the love and support you showered on me during my illness, this really helped to pull me through.

I hope Santa is especially good to you all.

Love you Lots

Well I can’t believe it’s nearly pantomime time already, I’ll need to start my Christmas shopping!

This year has been a busy one, from doing "Allo Allo" back in April I had a part in my friend’s first film called "Dinner for Two", soon to be traveling around Scotland on a Cinema bus! Just now I’m rehearsing "Always the Bigot". I’m playing Jean, Andra and Annie’s daughter. But I’m just so excited about playing So-Shi in Aladdin. This will be my first Pavilion Panto so I am really looking forward to it.

Jackie Farrell   Well right now things are fairly peaceful. I’ve recently appeared on “Still Game” as an aging romeo (well better late than never) then a wee holiday in Benidorm, not I may add on a “Bender” like some I could mention and right now having a bit of fun rehearsing “Always a Bigot” at the Pavilion. However very soon it will be heads down and into the Panto season where I will be playing the Emperor of China in Aladdin. Hope to see you all there.

Panto time - My favourtie time of the year! This will be my second
pantomime here at the Pavilion Theatre and I can't wait. What a classic Aladdin is and it's definitely my favourite.

I can hardly believe how quiickly this year has gone by. From finishing off Jack and The Beanstalk in January, to playing the mysterious Michelle in Allo Allo, and most recently filiming some commercials in Spain, I'm ready to get back on the stage and start singing and dancing!

I hope you all enjoy this year's show, love,

Alo Alo Alo,
Well it's nearly PANTO TIME again and I am so pleased to be back at the Pavilion. I am looking forward to working alongside Nicola Park, Jackie Farrell and Derek Lord, also working with Tony Roper. It's going to be fun! I have had a buzy time since I last appeared at the Pavilion. I have been on tour with Freddie Starr and doing local radio. I am looking forward to seeing my old mates and making new friends.
Here's to a great season!

Hello Folks!
Well 2005 has been quite a year for me. I started off as a flower pot man in “Jack and the Beanstalk” and then “Allo Allo” I was head Gestapo in war-torn France, after a brief affair with Mary Riggens as Helga, Ithought I needed a holiday so I went for a “Bender in Benidorm” during the day I had a job as a Spanish waiter called Noddy and in the evening I turned into the great cabaret artist Miss Sticky Vicky. I then returned to Glasgow where I was a neighbour of the “Bigot” so I suppose I have done quite a lot and they say a policeman’s lot is not a happy one. Well I am very pleased to be playing a Chinese policeman in this years sensational panto Aladdin.
